We're Hiring - Account Executive, Gardian Insurance

About the Role

Are you ready to take the next step in your insurance career? Gardian Insurance is seeking a motivated Account Executive to join our Mackay team. You’ll support senior brokers in managing a portfolio of valued clients while developing your own relationships and technical expertise. The role offers exposure to a wide range of commercial insurance products and provides clear pathways for professional growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the management of existing client portfolios, Managing end-to-end insurance processes including quoting, policy placement, renewals, and claims support.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, insurers, and underwriters.
  • Providing prompt and professional client service, ensuring all interactions align with Gardian’s commitment to exceptional customer care.

About You

You’re a confident and detail-oriented insurance professional who enjoys working in a team environment. You take pride in building relationships and providing excellent client outcomes.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 1–3 years’ experience in general insurance (broking, underwriting, or claims).
  • Tier 1 or Tier 2 Insurance Broking qualification (or working toward) (Preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced brokers.
  • Experience using insurance broking software and Microsoft Office suite.

Est. in 2000, husband and wife team Denise and Peter Phillips (Dec), launched their Mortgage Choice franchise and 25 years later, The Gardian Group now consists of a few Phillips brothers; Luke heading up Gardian Insurance, Ben - Gardian Finance & Financial Planning and another Ben (not a brother!) Kerrisk in Gardian Real Estate.
