Simon Dodson is a seasoned product designer and digital scale specialist with a strong foundation in theory-based design. A graduate of Mackay’s local university, he began his career under the guidance of Creative Director Jackie Reid at a web studio in Mackay during the early days of the internet. Simon's career has taken him across Australia and internationally, with experience in Tokyo, Bangkok, Taiwan, Sweden, New Zealand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Scandinavia. He has developed digital realty products for 11 countries and has worked closely with major real estate agencies on digital transformation and product development.
Recognized for his expertise in digital growth and technical skills, Simon has also served as the Head of Technical SEO and Digital Directorate for Central Queensland University (CQU). In his recent consultancy role, he collaborated with Nike International on their Olympics campaign in Bangkok, focusing on digital search strategies.
With over a decade of experience in digital content and publishing, Simon is a qualified journalist who has played a key role in launching digital products for Fairfax, Southern Cross Broadcasting, and Macquarie early digital initiatives. His contributions have been acknowledged with the Fairfax National Innovation Award.
Simon’s expertise lies in driving substantial growth, enhancing customer engagement, and managing complex integrations in the real estate sector, with a particular emphasis on data-driven strategies and advanced technology.
