Sandy Marchetti is a proud Mackay local who grew up in Kuttabul, attended Hampden State School and later Calen High School. She and her late husband Frank raised two children, and Sandy now enjoys life with their three grandchildren. Sandy also has a love of trekking and has taken on a number of charity challenges over the years, including Oxfam Trailwalker in Brisbane, the 96km Kokoda Challenge on the Gold Coast and the 60km Coastrek on the Sunshine Coast. After many years at the Daily Mercury in a range of administration roles, including editorial assistant in the newsroom, Sandy moved into the real estate industry in 2020 as a Sales Associate and works alongside David Fisher and Fletcher Russell. Her time at the Daily Mercury strengthened her connection to the local community and her passion for looking after clients and customers, earning her an Australian Regional Media award for customer service. That same commitment to helping people and delivering exceptional service is what led her to join Gardian Real Estate as David Fisher’s personal assistant.
