Sandy Marchetti is a real Mackay local. She grew up in Kuttabul and did primary school at Hampden State School and high school at Calen. Sandy worked at the Daily Mercury for many years, performing admin roles in various departments including as the editorial assistant in the newsroom. Sandy and her husband Frank raised two children and she now has two beautiful grandchildren as well. She loves her sport , having played a lot of touch football in her time, but also enjoys trekking and has done several Oxfam trail walkers to raise money for charity. She has also completed the 96km Kokoda Challenge at the Gold Coast to raise money for troubled Australian teenagers. During her time at the Daily Mercury, Sandy enjoyed being involved with the community and loved looking after clients and customers, winning an Australian Regional Media award for customer service in 2015. One of the things that motivated her to join Gardian real estate and work as David Fisher’s personal assistant was the opportunity to continue to help the Mackay community and provide the top-level customer service people need in their journey to achieve their real estate goals.
